Statement

Since retiring from a busy and fulfilling professional career, I have come to appreciate and express the artist that lay latent until now. It is extremely satisfying to have the opportunity and time to realize my design ideas, investigations and interpretations. I find my inspiration in many places - landscapes, architectural forms, my travels and my thoughts. My art is a result of a careful planning and my personal expression of what I see and feel. I enjoy experimenting with light, colour, form and texture. I worked with water colours, oils, alcohol ink and mixed media, but lately I am primarily applying acrylics on canvas by using brushes, pallet knives, or a pouring technique. There is something about art that attracts me. I think about various designs all the time. The themes keep changing, the colours vary, but the ideas keep coming in. When I am painting I forget about the time, the food and any problems in my life. It is relaxing and fun. I have been exhibiting extensively in Southern Ontario and Florida. My paintings can be found in private collections in the US, Canada, Serbia and New Zealand.
